On this page
Every fact on a brand page has a source, and we read each source before we cite it. When a brand's own pages contradict each other, we say so instead of picking the friendlier figure.
Brand facts
How we check brand facts
We start with what the brand publishes: its about page, its policies and its product pages. We check ownership and history against public records where they exist, such as trademark filings and company announcements, and against reputable press. A founding year we cannot confirm is printed as "not published", never guessed.
Certifications are checked against the certifier's own public lookup where one exists. When a certificate number on a product page belongs to a different company, we print that too.
Buyers
How we quote buyers
Quotes are copied word for word from public reviews of the same pillow, with the star rating and the store they came from. We shorten long reviews but never change a word inside the part we quote. We do not invent reviewers, and we do not publish photos or videos that buyers took: those belong to them.
Buyer topics, such as how many people mention smell or flattening, are counts taken from the retailer's review highlights. We publish the numbers, not the retailer's written summary.
Health
Health and sleep topics
A pillow is bedding, not treatment. We report what buyers say about neck or shoulder comfort, but we do not claim that any pillow relieves pain, and we point to medical sources for anything beyond that. Ongoing pain is a reason to see a clinician.
Corrections
Mistakes and corrections
If you find an error, tell us through the contact page. Corrections go into the next update, and a correction that changes a score or a brand fact is noted on the page it affects.
Photos
Photos and video
Product photos and videos on this site are the ones each brand publishes for its own pillows. We do not use stock pictures that imply we handled a product.
