A gusset is a side wall that keeps the edges square, which is how a feather pillow gets more height at the border. The maker names side and back sleepers only. If you sleep on your stomach, look elsewhere.
Proof
An OEKO-TEX number that belongs to a denim maker
The listing claims OEKO-TEX and RDS. When we looked up the OEKO-TEX number it gives, 19.HBD.87121, it belonged to a denim garment maker in Bangladesh rather than a pillow or down factory. RDS could not be verified. You can inspect the cotton cover, with what the maker calls a dual down-proof barrier, once it arrives. Its certificates, so far, do not hold up.
Care
Cold wash, low dryer, and the enclosed card
Wash the whole pillow in cold water under 85°F and tumble dry low, at most 140°F, the maker says, following the care card in the box. A low dryer is also how you bring feathers back to full height after a wash.
