Casper's bullets are brief: down-alternative fiber fill, a medium-soft feel, a quilted 100% cotton percale cover, and an adjustable profile from a removable inner pillow. The firmness field simply says soft. Take out the inner pillow and the profile drops, which is the only adjustment on offer.

Proof scores 4. The CertiPUR-US directory lists Casper with pillows among its categories, but no OEKO-TEX number is published and the RDS holder was not verified.

Size and loft

A 26 by 18 inch standard and a king

Cut at 26 by 18 inches, the standard weighs 2.3 pounds, and a king is sold as well. Casper names no sleep position and states no loft. Because height depends on whether the inner pillow is in, a side sleeper who needs a tall pillow should not count on the stripped-down version.

Care

Machine wash for the whole pillow

Machine wash appears in the details table, and the maker lists the pillow as machine washable with a removable cover. Those two lines explain the 10 for care. You can launder the cover and the fill without hunting for a dry cleaner.

Value

Fifty dollars a standard, sold singly

One standard costs $50 and one king $65, with no multi-packs. Ranked fiber pillows cost far less: Serta's Medium Soft runs $25.00, and each pillow in JOLLYVOGUE's four-pack works out to $9.25.

Casper's return window is 30 days from delivery, for pillows bought direct that are unused and still in original packaging, so it works as a look-and-decide period rather than a sleep trial.
