Our verdict
The TEMPUR-Neck scores 4.7 and ranks 52nd of 53. Value holds at 8.6 and care at 8.0, but buyer satisfaction falls to 4.6 and the complaint profile to 2.0. Firmness and size draw most of the anger, and you cannot send it back if the shape does not suit you.

58% of 8,049 ratings are five stars, yet 12% are one star and 19% fall at one or two. Firmness leads the topics: of 556 buyers who discuss it, 69% are negative. Size is worse, 82% negative across 240 mentions.
Pain relief comes up 405 times, 59% positive and 41% negative. Those are reports, not results, and ongoing neck pain is a reason to see a clinician rather than buy a pillow. The quotes below come from reviews published on Tempur-Pedic's own website, which the brand moderates; several come from long-time owners who say the new version feels different from the one they replaced.
I bought this pillow so many years ago and I need to get a new one. No other pillows compare.
I just wish each side had a slightly arched long edge for side sleepers. The neck roll is perfect.
I purchased this as a replacement but it’s not the size of a normal pillow. It’s so small, if I roll over, I have to move my whole body so my head will stay on the pillow.
This new one is hard and has no give. It's not the same as the original. I wish they still produced the softer version.
Fill and feel
Formed TEMPUR foam with a raised neck roll
Tempur-Pedic forms this pillow from TEMPUR-Material in what it calls an extra-firm feel, shaped so the neck rests on a raised roll. The company says the shape lets neck and shoulder muscles relax while staying supported; buyers argue about the feel in both directions. On the brand site, one long-time owner calls the new version hard with no give, and another says it is so soft the head sinks in.
Proof scores 4.0 because the listing names no certification. The CertiPUR-US directory does list Tempur-Pedic, but only at company level.
Size and loft
Nineteen and a half by twelve and a half inches
At 19.5 by 12.5 inches, the pillow is far smaller than the 24 by 15.75 inch TEMPUR-Cloud. Three profiles share that footprint: Small, Medium and High, differing only in height, and the listing gives a 3-inch loft. That footprint leaves little room to roll.
Choosing the profile is the real decision, and it falls to you alone. A broad-shouldered side sleeper and a slight back sleeper will want different heights, and there is no fill to adjust afterward.
Care
A two-fabric cover that comes off
The removable cover pairs a polyester and polyethylene top with a polyester and spandex bottom, and Tempur-Pedic lists it as machine washable. Its foam is not, so a pillow protector is worth adding if you want to keep it clean for the 5 years the warranty runs.
Value
Average TEMPUR price, no way back
In the Medium two-pack, each pillow costs $74.50, against a $74.50 median for TEMPUR pillows; buying a single costs more. The value score reflects that price, not the risk. Tempur-Pedic offers no trial on pillows and takes returns only for damage or defects, and one buyer on the brand site was refused a return after opening the plastic.
If neck support is your reason to shop, our list of pillows buyers rate best for neck pain ranks models by what buyers report on that topic. Every other model is on the Tempur-Pedic brand page, and our memory foam guide explains how formed foam differs from shredded fill.
